Is signage important for my business?

Signage is a crucial part of any business, and is a long-standing investment, it’s 24/7 permanent advertising with no monthly fees! Your shop signage is the customers’ first impression of your business from outside, and can greatly influence whether they step inside or not. bl_nk designs offer on-site consultations to determine the most effective way to portray your business with an almost unlimited number of different signage styles available.

How should I provide the artwork for my sign?

Here at bl_nk designs we are able to provide you with in-house graphic-design services, whether from your own ideas or preferences, or leave it up to us to come up with something exciting! We’ll continue to work with you until you are happy with the design.

If you are providing existing artwork for your sign to us in digital form, we prefer to use vectorised .EPS or .AI files but we can work with .PNG, .JPG, .TIFF and .PDF files too. Images provided should ideally be a minimum off 300dpi at full size, but if you are unsure please send it through and we can advise. Colors should ideally be given as PMS colours, however we can work with CMYK and RGB also, or match a physical sample. Not sure what you’ve got? Just contact us and we can talk you through it.

What are the elements of a good sign?

Signage should have a clever design that speaks simply and professionally, clearly stating who you are. It is also important to ensure that signs are manufactured with quality materials, there are many different grades of materials used in our industry, bl_nk designs will ensure the right grade is used for the right purpose, and can vary this to suit your budget if required, however you can be guaranteed we will not use inferior products without first consulting with you!

What characteristics should I look for in a sign company?

Sign companies vary greatly in manufacturing capabilities, staff experience and price. Ideally you should be looking for a company of professionals who specialise in their craft and are passionate about improving your business. You also want qualified and fully insured tradesmen working on your signage, especially on-site, to ensure quality manufacturing and installation to provide a safe and effective finished project. Unfortunately the signage trade is not regulated and therefore unqualified and inexperienced people can work in our industry. Why do prices vary between signage companies?

The common term is ‘Compare apples to apples’, we encourage each of our clients to become familiar with each individual product and service so you are able to make an even comparison. How much does a great sign cost?

It is not possible to put a standard price on custom signage as each individual project is different and unique.

We cannot have a standard cost on our products because each project is different and unique. We create high quality signage and confidently believe we are producing products of value for our customers.

What materials do bl_nk designs work with?

We produce all sorts of signs from a large variety of materials. We only work with proven products that we know will work for the specific application required. We aim to stay up to date with the lates materials and processes to ensure the finished sign you receive is the best possible for every application. There are a huge variety of different products that can be used, bl_nk designs will work with you to develop the best solution for your individual needs.

Do bl_nk designs offer installation?

Yes! We are able to install anything that we manufacture.

How far will bl_nk designs travel for work?

We regularly travel from Wynyard to Launceston for work, but are able to travel anywhere in Tasmania as required.

How do I care for my vehicle wrap?

Wash your vehicle by hand regularly to prolong it’s life, we recommend using a gentle car wash with a soft sponge. It is not recommended to use a car wash.

Whenever possible, store your vehicle in a garage or shaded area, prolonged exposure to the sun’s UV will degrade your wrap.

How do I care for my magnetic vehicle signs?

Store your magnets flat in a warm place, it is not recommended to store them rolled up, but if they must be rolled, roll them loosely with the graphics on the outside of the roll.

Both the vehicle surface and the black magnetic side should be clean, dry and waxed prior to application.

It is recommended that the magnets be removed daily and both the signs and vehicle be cleaned and dried before replacing the magnetic sign.
